DATA PROVIDERS

While each Trading Blox™ package includes ten years of sample stock, futures, and forex data (courtesy of CSI, see below), Trading Blox does not provide data for historical testing or order generation purposes. Users of Trading Blox™ must purchase their data from a data provider to research trading system performance and/or generate orders.

Here's our preferred data provider who's data  is compatible with the Trading Blox ™ engine: 

CSI – Preferred Vendor

Provides both Stock, Futures, and Forex data that can be exported in the appropriate format. If you order from CSI please be sure to inform them that you are a Market Trends customer, so you can receive our customized data package for easier integration.

Formats

Trading Blox supports the MetaStock format (which virtually all vendors provide) as well as ASCII text (Excel .CSV files as well). Some of the other data vendors our customers use successfully are Pinnacle, Bloomberg, Norgate, and Paritech.
